So. Much. Fun. Europa Park has a ton of rides for the entire family. We have a 3 and a half year old and a 1 and a half year old and the kids had the time of their little lives.
John and I must have been in Young at Heart mode because while gleefully running after Grayson towards the kid’s bumper cars it didn’t occur to either of us that Grayson had no clue as to how to actually drive a bumper car. He hopped in a car, the attendant pushed the button on a wall to start the cars, and Grayson didn’t move. We tried to yell over the gate telling him to push the pedal with his foot, but amidst the chaos of every other kid bumping our poor, unmoving boy he didn’t hear us. The attendant came over just before the ride was over and showed him what to do, but by then it was too late. We let him give it another try. This time he knew how to push the pedal. We were confident that he’d be bumping those other kids around in no time. NOPE. When the big button was pushed John and I were screaming GO, GO, GO! Push the pedal and GO! Grayson stomped on the gas pedal, but he cocked the steering wheel all the way to one side and was left just doing baby donuts in the Bumper Car Arena. I am thankful we have 12 more years before he will be driving an actual vehicle.
